We invite applications from enthusiastic and hard-working individuals to join the Accounting Department of our Bucharest office in the position of Senior. The department provides a wide spectrum of services to clients, including bookkeeping services, management accounting, and payroll. You will work along with experts in their field, gain exposure to advanced technology and have endless development and learning opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Centralizes the registration, verification, and reconciliation of economic transactions from primary, financial and management accounting, with the objective of complying with the requirements regarding accounting standards, fiscal legislation and internal and external audit procedures.
- Elaborates and controls the flow of accounting documents in the company so that all documents are recorded for the current month and kept properly.
- Analyze, review and correct (if the case) the accounting records (invoices, receipts, and payments), monthly trial balances transactions recorded by Junior accountants to ensure they are registered appropriately under all aspects on a monthly basis.
- Preparation of the mandatory accounting and fiscal registers.
- Drawing up situations and reports specific to the financial-accounting field.
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax declarations.
- Managing relations with fiscal authorities.
- Prepare daily reconciliations.
- Prepare documentation related to the annual audit, Income Tax and VAT returns.
- Coach and train junior members of the team.
- Keep up to date with key developments and trends related to own role.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure that client expectations are met, as appropriate.
Requirements
- University Degree in Accounting & Finance or related field.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in the same position.
- Accounting experience in the retail industry would be considered a plus.
- Trainee or CECCAR member (would be a plus).
- IFRS knowledge (would be a plus)
- Good knowledge of national fiscal legislation (Fiscal Code and Fiscal Procedure Code)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Romanian and English.
- Computer Literacy, with very good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and various accounting software.
