In accordance with the latest amendment of article 20 of law No. 4251/2014, the minimum purchase price of a property for the issuance of an investors visa was increased to €500.000 (from €250,000) only for the below-mentioned areas:
- Athens (North, Central and South Sectors)
- Municipality of Vari Voula Vouliagmeni (Athens)
- Municipality of Thessaloniki
- Islands of Mykonos and Santorini
Exceptions to the amendment for 2023:
On April 1st, 2023, the Greek Law No. 5038/2023 has been published and modified the above-mentioned article 20 of law No. 4251/2014.
According to this latest amendment (Article 177 par. 11 of Law no. 5038/2023), an extension of the deadline has been made and each investor who is interested to submit an application for Golden Visa through the signing of purchase contract can proceed to buy a property in the amount of 250.000 if will pay 10% of the price until July 31st , 2023, instead of April 30th , 2023 as defined by the previous Greek Law no. 5007/2022. The total amount must be fully paid by December 31, 2023.
