In accordance with the latest amendment to article 20 of law No. 4251/2014, the minimum purchase price of a property for the issuance of an investors visa was increased to €500.000 (from €250,000) only for the below-mentioned areas:
- Athens (North, Central and South Sectors)
- Municipality of Vari Voula Vouliagmeni (Athens)
- Municipality of Thessaloniki
- Islands of Mykonos and Santorini
Exceptions to the amendment for 2023
An investor can request a visa under the previous threshold of 250.000 if he pays 10% of the price until April 30, 2023 and pays the total amount by December 31, 2023.
The main categories of investment activity according to Greek immigration law are the following:
- Acquisition of a property in Greece. The amount of this purchase contract requires to be at least €500.000.
- Make a deposit in a Greek bank in the amount of €400.000.
